Nuclear Fusion Nearby?

SlashDot stated that Bussard gets Navy funding for his Fusion Project. For those who didn’t see the video at Google: Bussard is a scientist who is investigating a method of creating nuclear fusion in another way than the more popular (and very expensive) design of the tokomak generator. If he succeeds, it would be great for Earth’s energy issues.

Global Warming once more

Yesterday a report was published which once more confirmed that global warming can be accredited to humankind. (90% certainty is good enough for me)
The report from the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is only the beginning. Later on this year, reports will come out which will show humankind’s vulnerability to the climate changes and another one which will give some insight in how we may be able to mitigate the issue.
